Bangladeshi jute, handicrafts on display at China expo

EAEF Economic and Trade Cooperation Exhibition and China Import and Export Products Exhibition (Shaanxi) – 2021 were successfully held in China under the theme “Seizing New Opportunities cooperation and engage in a new development adventure ”.

At the exhibition, Yiwu Yiou Export and Import Company Limited, a private Bangladeshi company based in China, presented Bangladeshi jute and handicrafts products.

The exhibition was held at the Xi’an International Convention and Exhibition Center in Xi’an, the capital of Shaanxi Province, from October 18 to 21.

This exhibition is the first very large comprehensive import and export trade fair in the western region of China, which was hosted by the organizing committee of the Eurasian Economic Forum.

The Xi’an Municipal People’s Government organized the exhibition in coordination and with the assistance of the Department of Commerce of Shaanxi Province.

The Bangladeshi company exhibited various jute handicrafts, including jute bags, baskets, gift items, girls’ ornaments and other items. Citizens of other countries, including the Chinese, showed interest in Bangladeshi products at the exhibition.

Through participation in the exhibition, Bangladeshi expats and traders expect a market for Bangladeshi products in China to be created alongside Bangladesh’s expansion of trade with China.

Md Mahabub Zaman, a trader attending the fair, said, “Coming to this fair, I got to know various Chinese companies and manufacturers. They offered a variety of new products at the fair. the products can be used in the Bangladesh market.

About 1,200 companies presented their products at the fair. Including Bangladesh, local businesses from USA, Greece, Czech Republic, North Macedonia, South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Great Britain, Belgium, Russia, Nepal, from Latvia, Australia, North Korea, Pakistan, Armenia, Afghanistan and other countries brought the most distinctive products.
